Alkagesta took part in the eighth International Conference “Fertilizers of Ukraine: Autumn 2026” in Lviv, where participants discussed supply, pricing and logistics in the Ukrainian fertiliser market. According to Alkagesta Newsroom, the forum brought together producers, traders, distributors, agricultural businesses and logistics operators. Discussions covered the industry’s current position and the outlook for 2027, alongside global and regional influences on imports, domestic production and price trends.
The company was represented by Elchin Aliyev, its Regional Commodity Trader for Ukraine. Alkagesta Newsroom said he engaged with major agricultural holdings, fertiliser producers, importers, distributors and terminal operators during the two-day programme. Those contacts spanned both the agricultural market and the businesses involved in supplying and moving fertilisers. The account described engagement with industry stakeholders but did not identify any contracts, cargo agreements or other commercial transactions arising from the event.
In its assessment of market conditions, Alkagesta Newsroom said Ukraine’s fertiliser industry remained under substantial structural pressure. Import prices for key nitrogen products had increased sharply from a year earlier, while infrastructure disruption continued to constrain domestic production capacity. The report did not provide price levels, percentage increases or production figures. It linked the fertiliser supply shortfall to the war and disruption to supply chains, placing availability and logistics among the pressures facing the market.
Alkagesta used the conference account to present its activities across petroleum products, biofuels and fertilisers as relevant to addressing those supply difficulties. The company also pointed to its established European supply-chain networks, arguing that Ukraine’s deficit required capabilities extending across several commodity markets. That assessment was the company’s own framing of its role in the region; the report offered no specific volumes or delivery schedules for fertiliser supplies to Ukraine.
