Alkagesta attended the SAF Global Summit 2026 in London, using its account of the event to highlight sustainable aviation fuel trading, certification and distribution capabilities. According to Alkagesta Newsroom, the gathering attracted more than 1,000 senior executives from the SAF value chain, with participants drawn from policymaking, energy, fuel production, investment, airlines and original equipment manufacturers.

Business Development Manager Alex Yusifli and Operations Manager Alasgar Guliyev represented the company during the two-day programme. The summit focused on four broad areas: policy frameworks, investment strategy, expansion of production and supply logistics, and new technologies. The company's report placed its participation within its wider biofuels and sustainable fuels strategy, describing SAF as an increasingly important part of that business.

On market eligibility, Alkagesta Newsroom said the company holds ISCC and CORSIA certification, which it said allows Alkagesta to trade and supply CORSIA-eligible SAF across different sustainability jurisdictions. The report presented those credentials as part of the company's ability to serve aviation fuel customers, alongside its existing SAF and biofuels trading activities. It also pointed to growing demand for certified SAF in European and global aviation markets.

Alkagesta said it had recently obtained access to EU ETS allowances, adding to the scope of its carbon compliance offering. According to the company, that access complements its fuel trading capabilities and enables it to help customers address a wider range of carbon compliance obligations. The newsroom account linked this development with the company's broader sustainable fuels business.

The report also highlighted access secured earlier in 2026 to NATO's Central Europe Pipeline System, or CEPS. Alkagesta said this enables it to deliver jet fuel blended with SAF directly to airlines. It presented the pipeline access as a step in developing its aviation fuels presence and as evidence of the compliance requirements it meets as a supply chain participant.
