Alkagesta took part in the International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference (IPEC) 2026 in Zhoushan, China, linking its attendance to the development of its China business and its petroleum products and biofuels trading activities. According to Alkagesta Newsroom, the company was represented by Bayram Bayramli, its China Business Developer, at the gathering in Zhejiang Province.
The annual conference, hosted at the Zhoushan International Conference Center, brings together businesses involved in oil, gas and bulk commodities, alongside port operators, bunker suppliers and trading houses. The company’s account described participation from Asia, the Middle East and Europe, placing the event at the intersection of commodity trading, port services and marine fuel supply.
IPEC is organised under the auspices of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Alkagesta Newsroom characterised it as the principal promotional platform for Zhoushan’s oil and gas industrial chain. Its programme combines senior-level forums and industry presentations with business matchmaking and project signings, bringing those activities together within the same annual event.
For Alkagesta, the relevance of Zhoushan extends to both conventional marine fuels and alternative bunkers. The company pointed to the expansion of the city’s bonded fuel supply base and its early activity in biofuel and methanol bunkering. It linked those developments to the growth of its Geneva biofuels desk and to its chartering function’s involvement in the product tanker market.
The company also highlighted direct contact with Chinese refiners, storage operators and bunker suppliers as supporting its sourcing of marine fuel cargoes for East Asian ports. In its account, that engagement forms part of positioning the business in a bunkering market it described as among the fastest-growing worldwide, alongside the continued development of its broader China business line.
